Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, commonly abbreviated as HI, is one of the oldest and best known hotels in Indonesia. Located in Central Jakarta, it was one of the first 5-star hotels in the country and remains a major city landmark; its fame is often linked to the country’s political pride. It is located by the famed Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, which gets its name from the hotel.
The lobby is quite large and with high ceilings, all of it is scattered in dark tones making it cozy. Jakarta Kempinski Hotel Indonesia was listed as one of the best newest hotel in the world 2010 by Conde Nast Traveler and I’m about to discover why… After a quick check in, I was escorted to the room where as usual they explained how everything works, including the spectacular toilet that looked more like a Lamborghini, so many buttons that you almost need a degree to understand how it works.
If the room was beautiful in pictures, live was spectacular! Modern, spacious, comfortable, with a decor inspired by contemporary Indonesian art and style, very welcoming. Best of all is the stunning views to one of the most emblematic squares in the city, also from the bathroom where you can relax in the giant tub while enjoying the energy of the city. The room attributes include In-room coffee / tea facilities, laptop-size safe, Flat-screen TV, iPod docking station, Working Desk and some rooms have connecting doors.
I woke up early in the morning thinking about food. The Kempinski breakfasts was no exception one of the best breakfast I have ever had. The amount and variety of options are endless. Everything was perfect, the staff very attentive and the food… ohh…super delicious as always.
